ConstructionCalc,
Inc. is located in Mt. Vernon, Washington, just north
of Seattle. Our founder, Tim Garrison learned his trade in the
field, on the construction site before becoming a practicing
engineer. He saw the tremendous shortage of practical software
tools for builders and other non-engineers... software tools
that are easy to use and that provide lots of alternatives on
every run. He also discovered most people in the construction
industry perform their duties without ever receiving formal
training of any kind.
ConstructionCalc has made it their mission to empower... to
provide the software tools and knowledge necessary for building
industry professionals to do their jobs better... faster...
safer.

| Tim has deep roots
in the building industry, having spent many years as a carpenter,
and later as a contractor. He was graduated Tau Beta Pi from
California State University Sacramento with a bachelor's degree
in civil engineering. He then obtained a master's degree in
civil engineering from California State University Fresno. Tim
has been the President of his engineering consulting firm since
1992. He is professionally licensed in California, Oregon, Washington,
Idaho, Colorado and Montana. Tim wrote the book "Essential Structural
Concepts (for the Non-Engineer)", and is the primary instructor
for ConstructionCalc's technical seminars. |
